ROBIN Williams' tragic death was met with floods of heart-felt tributes from shocked co-stars, fans and loved ones.
But when the news broke about his apparent suicide, some Twitter users mistakenly confused the Hollywood legend with Take That singer Robbie Williams.
Taking to social media to post tributes, they even got Take That trending earlier on this morning.
One wrote: "RIP Robbie Williams, he did it for the kids :("

"WTF Robbie Williams is dead, great singer, he was my idol," another added.
"RIP Robbie Williams, I can honestly say I loved Take That," said another fan.
The tragic news of actor Robin's death broke late last night after emergency crews were called to his San Francisco home at noon.
The legendary actor and comic, 63, had been battling with severe depression.

His wife, Susan Schneider confirmed his death with: "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings.
"I am utterly heartbroken."
