Mrs Doubtfire legend's wife confirms: 'I lost my husband and my best friend'
ROBIN Williams was found dead yesterday.
The legendary actor and comic, 63, had been battling with severe depression and the cause of death is believed to be suicide.
An ambulance was called to the star's San Francisco home at noon.
His wife, Susan Schneider confirmed his death with: "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings.
"I am utterly heartbroken."
Robin's daughter also jumped on Instagram to share an emotional message about her late father.
It read: "You - you alone will have the stars as no one else has them... In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing.
"And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night... You - only you - will have stars that can laugh."
President Obama led the heartfelt tributes following the tragic news and said: "Robin Williams was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan and everything in between. But he was one of a kind."
Our thoughts are with Robin's family at this time.
