A woman in Lagos has been arrested and
charged after she allegedly assaulted her
lover.
28-year-old Blessing Okoji is said to have flogged
one Chibuchi Obasi, then her boyfriend, with a
cane all over his body.
She has reportedly been charged before a Chief
Magistrate Court in the Badagry area of the state.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Innocent Uko told the court
that the incident occurred after the couple had a
serious argument.
He said:
"Despite that he begged for mercy, she kept on
flogging the man until when her neighbours
rescued him,"
The case was adjourned till Oct. 10 for further
hearing.
