DJ hits back at his ex, said he had 'damn good reason' for blocking her performance at Teen Choice Awards
CALVIN Harris has hit back at ex-girlfriend Rita Ora for claiming he blocked her from performing I Will Never Let You Down at the Teen Choice awards this year.
The DJ took to his Twitter page on Wednesday to explain his side of the story after Rita told radio DJ Ryan Seacrest that the Scottish hit-maker was the reason she pulled out her performance last minute.
And he let it be known he is not impressed with Rita who gave an interview to Glamour magazine this month about their break-up.
"You'll only know 1 side of the story RE Teen choice awards because I choose not to talk to the papers about every aspect of my personal life (sic)," Calvin tweeted.
"But just know I had a damn good reason."
Rita, who recently admitted she still carries a torch for the handsome musician, told Ryan Seacrest that Calvin, 30, blocked her from singing the song, which was written when they were still in a relationship.
"He wrote and produced the song, so he has to approve anything TV wise. He owns the rights to it and he didn't approve the Teen Choice Awards," revealed the 23-year-old.
"You write a song with somebody and I guess there's some stuff that comes with it."
