What to Watch This Sunday: Frozen Arrives on Once Upon a Time, and Both Death and Family Guy Visit The Simpsons, and Masters of Sex Calls It a Season

What to watch on Sunday, September 28...
SEASON 4 PREMIERE, 8pm, ABC
Once Upon a Time
"A Tale of Two Sisters" finds Arendelle's
cryokinetic princess Elsa and her snow-monster
guardian stopping by Storybrooke, while her
sister Anna undertakes their parents' unfinished
journey in the Arendelle of the past. In matters
that won't lodge "Let It Go" your head yet again,
Regina contemplates her chances of a happy
future with Robin Hood, Mr. Gold comes upon a
fateful object, and Hook worries that Emma is
keeping her distance.
SEASON 26 PREMIERE, 8pm, Fox
The Simpsons
David Hyde Pierce, Sarah Silverman, and
Jeff Ross drop by for Krusty's comedy-channel
roast in "Clown in the Dumps," but their hurtful
barbs impel him to retire. In more permanent
endings, another Springfieldian bites the dust.
8pm, CBS
Madam Secretary
"Another Benghazi" apparently both rips its
premise from the headlines and then clobbers you
over the head with it, as Elizabeth must navigate a
crisis in Yemen. You may begin making your
acrostics-of-"Yemen" jokes on Twitter… now.
SEASON 2 PREMIERE, 8:30pm, Fox
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
In "Undercover," Jake learns that one mob crony
escaped the otherwise successful FBI sting he
assisted. While he and Charles search for the
missing mafioso, Capt. Holt puts the squad
through a gauntlet of practice drills.
SEASON 13 PREMIERE, 9pm, Fox
Family Guy
The Griffins are going to Springfield! ...is just one
of the running jokes likely to spring up when two
of Fox's longest-running animated families collide
in "The Simpsons Guy." The hour-long crossover
includes Lisa teaching Meg to play the sax, Bart
introducing Stewie to new forms of mischief-
making, and Homer and Peter sparring over
whose hometown brews the better beer.
SEASON 2 PREMIERE, 9pm, ABC
Resurrection
Michelle Fairley trolls Game of Thrones fans in
subtle yet expert fashion by turning up in
"Revelation" as a woman back from the grave. As
she returns to Arcadia and the Langston family,
Bellamy awakens at the town's outskirts with no
memory of a week of his life.
SEASON 7 FINALE, 9pm, PBS
Miss Marple
"Endless Night" adapts an Agatha Christie novel
that did not, in fact, feature Miss Marple. But if
there's a dashing chauffeur to be befriended, an
alleged curse to be investigated, or justice to be
doled out, well, you just try and keep Miss Marple
away from the proceedings. Not bloody likely. The
episode is followed at 10:30pm by the
documentary special The Mystery of Agatha
Christie.
9pm, CBS
The Good Wife
Alicia pulls out all the stops to keep a key client as
the firm battens down the hatches in "Trust
Issues." At Lockhart, Gardner, and Canning,
Diane looks for allies to join her in the move to
Florrick/Agos, while New York partner Taye
Diggs arrives to significantly boost the office's
handsomeness quotient.
9pm, HBO
Boardwalk Empire
Nucky and Margaret find themselves in a similar
quandary in Atlantic City, while Luciano faces off
with an old enemy in Chicago. Elsewhere in
"Cuanto," Sally does business amid a restless
climate in Cuba, and Past Nucky continues to win
Past Commodore's favor.
9pm, Lifetime
Witches of East End
Joanna, Freya, and Wendy revisit a past life in
"Poe Way Out," and based on that title I'll guess
it's the life of iconic 19th century author Nathaniel
Hawthorne. In more contemporary affairs, Ingrid
tries to connect with her grandfather, and Dash
discovers there's more than he first suspected to
his one-night-stand partner.
SEASON 2 FINALE, 9pm, Showtime
Ray Donovan
Mickey devises a cunning plan in "The Captain,"
while Abby is torn between Ray and Jim.
SEASON 2 FINALE, 10pm, Showtime
Masters of Sex
"The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" finds
Masters and Johnson preparing to share their
work with the world. Now, I'm no scientist, but I
think Masters' idea of illustrating their findings
through cartoon cats named Sammy Sexual
Dysfunction and Henrietta Healthy Libido may be
ill-advised.
SEASON 4 PREMIERE, 10pm, ABC
Revenge
Emily hosts a humdinger of a hootenanny in
"Renaissance," chock full of surprises! And
shocks! And stunners! Please RSVP, shan't you?
She didn't pick up all those exclamation points at
the party supplies store for nothing, y'know.
SEASON 15 PREMIERE, 10pm, CBS
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
Russell fields a call from someone claiming to be
the Gig Harbor Killer in "The CSI Effect," while
Finlay deals with a little car trouble, which is to
say that a bomb has been put in her car. Also,
Mark-Paul Gosselaar shows up as twins for all
you Franklin & Bash fans who want to triple your
weekly dose of Gosselaar.
SEASON 1 FINALE, 10pm, Lifetime
The Lottery
The president reveals the winners of the titular
contest in "In Extremis," because there's nothing
more presidential than pulling those little
numbered ping-pong balls out of the tumbling
wheel on national television. Elsewhere, the
mystery of the infertility crisis comes into clearer
focus.
10pm, FX
The Strain
Eichhorst assaults the pawn shop, despite
everyone's insistence that this is not the pawn
shop where Johnny put his six-string in hock.
Meanwhile in "Last Rites," Dutch returns with a
cunning plan, Palmer greets a visitor, and Gus
unearths another strange piece of the puzzle.
10pm, WGN America
Manhattan
The Hill welcomes a surprising visitor in "The
Understudy." Could it be Gen. George S. Patton?
Nomadic funnymen Bob Hope and Bing Crosby?
The Harlem Globetrotters? Tune in to find out!
