Arsenal are expected to announce that Mathieu
Debuchy could be sidelined until Christmas with
ankle ligament damage.
Karl Henry has admitted QPR's 4-0 thrashing
against Manchester United was "like a testimonial"
because they afforded their opponents too much
respect.
Stewart Downing has not given up hope of playing
for England again - but believes he may have to wait

THE CHRONICLE
Under-fire Newcastle boss Alan Pardew looks set to
keep his job at least until the weekend clash with
Hull.
Hatem Ben Arfa was "ostracised" by Newcastle -
according to Hull boss Steve Bruce, who has been
linked with Pardew's job at St James' Park.
Newcastle board members have postponed next
Monday's fan forum until October 20.
Fraser Forster has spoken of his "attachment" to
Newcastle, despite playing his part in
Southampton's 4-0 demolition of Pardew's side on
Saturday.
Adam Johnson says Sunderland cannot afford a
repeat of last season's relegation battle.
Wes Brown admits Sunderland are not yet hitting
the heights they reached in last season's run-in - but
insists they can take heart from the fact they are

Aston Villa legend John Carew has predicted the
team could battle for a Champions League spot after

Rumours that Birmingham City are set to be taken
over by Indian owners are understood to be wide of
the mark.
Koby Arthur has been recalled by Birmingham City
from his loan to Cheltenham Town.

coach, saying he would do "too much damage" by
removing him from the club's academy.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has confirmed that he
expects both Mikael Lustig and Adam Matthews to
miss the Europa League Group D tie at Red Bull
Salzburg.

Aberdeen have reported Celtic's Aleksandar Tonev
for allegedly racially abusing Shay Logan during

although the Glasgow club say the player denies the
accusation.
Leigh Griffiths could be poised for another move to
Hibs in an emergency loan deal, it has been
reported.
