The way Nigerian entertainers jump into politics
is becoming quite amazing these days. As at the
last count, no fewer than 10 actors, musicians,
comedians and other entertainers have joined
politics and have declared their intentions to run
for various positions in different states in Nigeria.
The latest to join the fray is top Nollywood
actor and producer, Desmond Elliot who is
contesting for a seat in the Lagos State
House of Assembly » in the forthcoming 2015
elections under the umbrella of the All
Progressive Congress, APC.
The much loved actor who has never hidden his
love for his people, has outlined some of the
things he intends to do for his constituents if he is
elected into the House. Though some are
wondering why he is running for a seat in the
Lagos House, it may interest you to know that
Desmond Elliot is actually a Lagosian and he is
set to make a change if he gets the opportunity.
Desmond joins the likes of actress Kate Henshaw,
actors Bob Manuel-Udokwu, comedians Okey
Bakassi, Julius Agwu » and musicians 9ice and
Kenny Saint Brown » as some of the
entertainment stars who have declared their
intentions to run for elective positions in 2015.
