Oscar Pistorius found guilty of culpable homicide for shooting dead Reeva Steenkamp

Paralympic athlete faces up to 15 years in jail

OSCAR Pistorius has been found guilty of culpable homicide for shooting dead his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. 

The verdict was read this morning at North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria, South Africa.

South African Judge Thokosile Masipa said the Paralympic athlete's actions were "negligent" on the night he killed the model. 

According to reports, Pistorius shown little emotion as the guilty verdict was given.

Yesterday, the blade runner was found not guilty of murder. 

Throughout the six month trial, Oscar has maintained that he shot his girlfriend accidentally, mistaking her for an intruder.

He faces up to 15 years in jail.
