Pierce Brosnan pays touching tribute to Robin Williams

Mrs Doubtfire co-star says working with the comedian was like 'sheer magic'

PIERCE Brosnan has paid a touching tribute to Robin Williams and described working with the Mrs Doubtfire actor as "sheer magic".

The former James Bond star recalled the first time he met Robin on set during the filming of the 1993 blockbuster.

Pierce, 61, spoke fondly of the time he spent with Robin at last night's November Man premiere in Los Angeles.

"I had the time of my life. Every day was sheer magic with the man. His humanity, his grace and his brilliance of heart and mind and soul, his reverence and sincerity. It's a deep loss," he said in an interview with The Mirror.

Even Pierce's first meeting with Robin spoke volumes about his character.

"My first day on set they were like, 'do you want to meet Robin?', I had never met the man I was so excited I was so thrilled to have this job in the company of this great star, comedian," he said.

"I walked into the trailer and there was Robin, sitting in a pair of Ugg boots, hairy legs, shorts, a hawaiian shirt and hairy chest and the head of Mrs Doubtfire."
