Celebrity fake tan disasters? Do our favourite stars look better with or without their bronzed glow?

Jessica Wright, Michelle Keegan and Georgia May Foote prove less is more in before and after snaps

IT'S the classic celebrity make-up fail that we've all experienced at some point in our lives.

You guessed it - the dreaded fake tan disaster.

Stars including Corrie favourites Michelle Keegan and Georgia May Foote as well as a number of the TOWIE ladies (hardly surprising), are all guilty of over-bronzing their bods.

But do the gorgeous girls look better with or without the caked-on tanner? We'll let you be the judge of that….

Celebrity Big Brother 2014 contestant Lauren Goodger owns her very own tanning range, so she can't be blamed for over-indulging every now and again.

Saying that, we're not sure she can be forgiven for this make-up shocker.

Lauren's former The Only Way Is Essex co-star Jessica Wright did look a little more oompa loompa than uber-lovely at the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham last December.

Judging by the snap of Mark Wright's sister at the TRIC Awards in March, her natural skin tone suits Jess more than a fake glow.

We rarely have a bad word to say about the former Corrie star, but when the naturally tanned brunette hit the bottle back in 2011, it resulted in a luminous orange glow.

It must have scarred her for life because Michelle recently insisted she never uses the stuff.

Amy Childs is another former TOWIE star to release her own-brand fake tan and it's safe to say she's not scared of using it.

Like all Essex ladies, Chantelle Houghton prefers to sport glamorous make-up and darkened skin.

But we think the mum-of-one looks better when she rocks minimal, more natural shades.

Helen Flanagan has had a few fake tan fails in her time, but in recent months and since dying her formally blonde locks dark brown, the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! star has toned down her tanning regime.

Georgia May Foote is one of the few celebs who looks gorgeous with bronzed skin and with a pasty complexion.

Her tanned bod softens her look, while the lighter tone, dark hair and red lips looks striking and stunning.

Gemma Collins rarely steps out the house without applying her trusty tanner.

Though we're not sure why because we think James Argent's ex's lighter look is much more suited to her skin tone.

New Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman is queen of the make-up fails.

But in this case, we think her fake bake creates a lovely healthy glow.
