One Word – awkward!
American GQ Magazine has denied crowning
Kim Kardashian as 'Woman of the Year',
insisting they have given no awards out this year.
In a series of tweets, the official Twitter handle of
the international monthly men's magazine
explained that it was a 'wrong GQ' who gave the
award to the popular US reality TV star.
'Good morning, citizens of the UK. We're still GQ
US, and we still gave no awards. Congratulations
on the new royal baby, though', @GQMagazine
tweeted on September 9, 2014 after fans on social
media attacked the handle for supposedly giving
Kim K the award.
'It's Gentlemen's Quarterly. And, wrong GQ', the
magazine it wrote in response to user
@stevecook_32 who initially tweeted,
'@GQMagazine names Kim Kardashian woman
of the year! sMH GQ=Goodbye Quality'.
It is now apparent that GQ US is quite different
from British GQ. The latter gave the award after
the 33-year-old covered the September 2014 issue
stark naked.
So tell us, does Kim Kardashian make your
woman of the year?
