Thief Electrocuted By Transformer In Lagos

The suspect was reportedly trying to
vandalize a transformer when he was
shocked to death

An alleged transformer vandal in Lagos lost his
life when he was electrocuted early on Monday,
September 15, 2014.
PM News reports that the unidentified suspect
was stealing some feeder pillar units from an
electric transformer at Lonlo Bus Stop, along Iju
Road in the Fagba area of the state.
He was reportedly able to remove one unit from
the Mitchell 500KVA transformer but while
still in the act, electricity was restored and he was
shocked to death.
One witness, Mr. Egunjobi Samuel, reportedly
said:
"We have been experiencing this thing for a long
time. Some people will just come and remove
some parts from this transformer. God decided
to expose one of them today. It serves him right,
The victim's corpse was supposedly discovered by
a 13-year old boy, Segun Adedokun who then
informed other residents.
