THEIR friendship was reported to have cooled in recent months but Will.i.am and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini are set to work together once again.
Cheryl has asked The Voice star to be part of her team as a guest judge when she takes her final six t to the south of France.
A source told The Sunday Mirror: "Cheryl is really hoping to have her friend Will.i.am as her guest judge.
"He has been a great mentor to her in the past and she really values his opinion.
"Cheryl is mentoring the girls, and it's one of the strongest categories this series, so she is going to have a really difficult job on her hands.
"She will need Will there."
The move comes after Cheryl ditched Will as her music manager last year.
And it's not the first time Cheryl, 31, has had Will.i.am by her side.
The 39-year-old pop star helped Cheryl discover Rebecca Ferguson and Cher Lloyd.
But his involvement also casts doubts on his return to The Voice next year.
The source added: "One of the things that Will has criticised The Voice for is that they don't go on to develop talent as much as he would like - but he sees those opportunities on The X Factor."
