Cheska Hull swaps The King's Road for African villages to help front Fairtrade campaign

MIC star is a big advocate of The Fairtrade Foundation and wants to spread the word

MADE in Chelsea star Cheska Hull is used to a life of privilege.

But the 29-year-old star recently swapped The King's Road for the farms of Ghana to learn more about the lives of coffee and chocolate farmers there.

Cheska made the visit with The Fairtrade Foundation to see the impact their campaigns have had on ordinary lives.

Speaking of her interaction with the women she met, she said :"It was amazing to see how much independence Fairtrade has given them."

"Some are widows, some single, some married. Often women in Ghana are not allowed to own land but through Fairtrade these women have had the confidence to fight for their own plots."

The blogger and PR guru is helping the foundation promote their latest campaign, The Great British Fairness Debate.

Running for two weeks from 29th September - 12th October, the campaign will seek to change the behaviours of people up and down the country and answer the question: "Are we really as fair as we think we are?"

The Fairtrade Foundation want to encourage people to make small gestures towards a fairer society, such as switching their morning coffee to a fairtrade brand.

It is clearly a cause close to the SW4 resident's heart.

Last week the star took to Twitter to tell her followers: "Don't just act fair, #befair."
