Fans of Sex and the City have been desperate for a
third film installment of the beloved TV series,
and according to Jennifer Hudson » , they
might be getting their wish come true...sooner
than later.
In a recent radio interview with Dish Nation » ,
the singer said of a third SATC movie, "I think it
might be [happening]...Somebody just came to
me talking about that. So if it's in the talks, it
might happen. So look for it. "
The one time American Idol contestant, 33, who
appeared as Carrie Bradshaw's personal assistant
in the first film in 2008, also hinted that her
character Louise might also be coming back,
"Look for Louise from St. Louis!" she teased.
The franchise's second film premiered in 2010 to
mediocre reviews and underwhelming box office
numbers. The film, which was set in Abu Dhabi
instead of New York City, was also criticized by
longtime fans, who felt it strayed from the show's
premise.
At the end of the second film, Carrie ( Sarah
Jessica Parker » ) received a diamond ring from
Mr. Big ( Chris Noth » ) to solidify their
marriage. With Samantha ( Kim Cattrall » )
single, Charlotte ( Kristin Davis » ) juggling two
kids, and lawyer Miranda ( Cynthia Nixon » )
without a job, there's no telling what hi-jinx the
ladies will get into next.
