MARIAH Carey is not keen to let husband Nick Cannon run around telling everyone about their divorce.
In new marriage reports, it has been claimed that the chart-topper has silenced her other half from ever mentioning the split.
The news comes after the dad-of-two confessed the pair were "living in separate houses" and that he was the one who walked away from their life together.
A source told TMZ that Nick and Mariah's lawyers have been busily putting together a confidentiality agreement which is 'completely one-sided'.
But it appears the 33-year-old is happy to take the quiet route in order to keep their children, Monroe and Moroccan happy.
An insider told them: "Nick is taking a "passive" role in the divorce. Telling his lawyers to take the path of least resistance to end things as peacefully as possible."
The sad news of Mariah and Nick's split broke this week when the rapper told The Insider: "There is trouble in paradise. We have been living in separate houses for a few months.
"Right now, my main focus is my kids."

It is thought Nick detailing intimate parts of his sex life on the radio - which included sleeping with Kim Kardashian - was the beginning of the end for the once happy pair.
Mariah was said to have been "humiliated" by the interview.
