Stephen Simpson attacked a man for dating his estranged wife
JENNIFER Hudson's half-brother has been arrested after repeatedly stabbing a man.
Stephen Angelo Simpson was arrested on August 19 for stabbing the boyfriend of his estraged wife.
He is currently in custody in Michigan and it is expected he will be charged with attempted murder and home invasion, or trespassing.
Torrey Hunt, a neighbourto the couple said they ran to his house for help.
He told Us Weekly: "He said someone knocked on the door, he thought he was knocking on the door for somebody, and he started getting stabbed up.
"I open the door and see blood everywhere. He was stabbed in his chin and his chest, he had puncture wounds in his chest and his arms and stuff.
Jennifer has previously faced much heartache in her family.
In 2008 her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew were murdered by William Balfour, her former brother-in-law.

He was charged with three accounts of first-degree murder and was given three life sentences.
In 2009, Jennifer set up the Hudson-King Foundation for Families of Slain Victims which raises money for bereaved family members.
