But it seems the 52-year-old fancied a punt today when he made an appearance at Ladies Day at Glorious Goodwood.
The Hollywood star received a warm reception in the VIP area, where a band welcomed him with the strains of the Mission Impossible theme tune.
The actor, who was flocked by fans to pose for an endless stream of selfies, was also seen getting into the action as he cheered on his backed horse from the stands.
