Drunk In Love star shared the empowering image with her followers
BEYONCÉ has long been touted as a modern feminist icon, but on Tuesday the superstar cemented her credentials when she posted a mocked up picture to her Instragram account.
The 32-year-old shared a snap that featured the singer in the Rosie the Riveter pose and costume- an iconic image from US Second World War propaganda that celebrated women who took up factory and munitions jobs in the mens' absence.
The work of such women is generally accepted to have moved the feminist cause forward decades.
Beyoncé has regularly been praised for the positive example she sets for young women in terms of body image and self-esteem but earlier this year the star ran afoul of feminists when she performed at the Grammys with husband Jay Z.
