'Thank God it wasn't Robbie' - Radio DJ slammed for 'disgusting' Robin Williams death rant

TalkSPORT's Alan Brazil faces serious backlash from fans following vile comments on air

ROBIN Williams' tragic death sparked a vile outburst from a radio DJ today.

TalkSPORT's Alan Brazil, a former footballer, was faced with serious backlash from listeners after his disgusting comments.

Explaining that he thought Robbie Williams had died when his wife told him the news, he said: "And then when she said 'Robin', I thought, 'oh, okay'"

"It didn't hit me hard like it would if it had been Robbie, thank God it wasn't," he finished.

But when colleague Brian Moore stepped in to try and ease the situation, Alan chose to continue his awful rant live on air.

"I believe he's got a daughter as well, what's she feeling like this morning?"

"Now she's got to sort the arrangements out. I think it's shocking, I really do."

He added: "I don't have a lot of sympathy, I'm sorry.

"It might be (harsh) but that's the way I feel.

"What you leave behind is diabolical, I'm really annoyed about that," he finished.

Listeners took straight to Twitter to vent their fury at Alan and instantly called for him to face the sack.

"I hope talk sport sack the lousy b******," one wrote.

Another tweeted: "Alan Brazil, what a disgrace. Should get the sack for his comments on RW. Too ignorant/moronic to have a clue about mental health."
