What to Watch Tonight: Teen Wolf, Under the Dome, and the Season Finale of The Bachelorette

What to watch on Monday, July 28...
SEASON 10 FINALE, 8pm, ABC
The Bachelorette
Andi introduces her two leading suitors to her
family before making her final decision in the
two-hour finale, which is followed at 10pm by
After the Final Rose. Will she choose Josh, the
intrepid badger wrangler from Poughkeepsie with
the clubfoot and a heart of gold? Or will she pick
Nick, whose season-long journey to understand
human emotion made him America's favorite
cyborg cobbled together out of tin cans by a mad
scientist with grand ambitions and no money?
And is it possible that I've just made up much of
what I just wrote because I didn't bother to read
past the first sentence of the press release? Tune
in and find out!
8pm, The CW
The 2014 Young Hollywood Awards
Kelly Osbourne hosts the annual celebration of
the entertainment industry's most promising
whippersnappers. Trey Songz, Derek Hough,
Kat Graham, Gina Rodriguez, and many more
are slated to perform, present, and make people
like me glimpse helplessly the cruel onrush of
time and crumble into dust.
SERIES PREMIERE, 8pm, NBC
Running Wild With Bear Grylls
The renowned outdoorsman leads celebrities
through a gauntlet of wilderness challenges in this
new series, which begins with a shirtless jaunt
through the Appalachians alongside Zac Efron.
8pm, ABC Family
Switched at Birth
Toby and Lily clash over a make-up exam for
Sharee, while Bay hopes to avoid conflict of any
stripe when she lends Tank moral support as a
friend. Elsewhere in "It Isn't What You Think,"
Daphne and Travis receive their fateful envelopes
from Gallaudet University.
DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE, 9pm, HBO
Love Child
This documentary examines the 2010 case of a
couple whose addiction to online gaming led them
to fatally neglect their infant child.
9pm, ABC Family
The Fosters
In "The Longest Day," Lena gives Brandon a boost
as he finally comes clean about his dalliance with
Dani. Meanwhile, Jude tags along on Callie's visit
with the Quinns, Mariana stresses out about her
dance team competition, and Jesus is torn
between his guilt over Emma and his loyalty to
Hayley.
9pm, TNT
Major Crimes
Former Beverly Hills, 90210 stars playing
simulacra of their '90s characters are popping up
all over basic cable these days, huh? This time it's
Luke Perry as the star of a cop show who
becomes the prime suspect in a fan's slaying in
"Cutting Loose." It's no Steve Sanders
chainsawing sharknados—but then, few things
are.
10pm, TNT
Murder in the First
Blunt may take the stand as his trial enters the
homestretch in "Win Some, Lose Some." Of
course, he may also scramble up to the
courthouse roof and start chainsawing passing
sharknados, for all I know. I mean, the episode
hasn't aired yet.
10pm, MTV
Teen Wolf
Scott must help out a foe in "Orphaned," while
Derek and Malia are on the hunt for an old ally.
Neutral parties, you can sit this week out.
10pm, PBS
POV
"Fallen City" relates stories from Beichuan, China,
which was constructed to house the survivors of a
devastating 2008 earthquake that destroyed the
old Beichuan and killed 90,000 people. Despite
the efforts to rebuild with new amenities, the
trauma continues to take its toll on the
townspeople.
10pm, A&E
Longmire
Walt is vexed by Branch's behavior in "Counting
Coup," and I'm going to assume from that title
that said behavior involves Branch thinking he's
Count Von Count and enumerating every object
in sight. Meanwhile, Walt makes a break in the
David Ridges case and Henry hits a setback in his
trial.
10pm, CBS
Under the Dome
Julia takes the reins of Chester's Mill after Big Jim
and Rebecca's whole "attempting to wipe out a
goodly chunk of the populace" unpleasantness.
Her first order of business in "Reconciliation"?
Attempt to wipe out a goodly chunk of the
populace! No, wait a minute, that's what got the
previous folks in trouble. Hm. This town-running
thing is harder than it looks.
